Out And About #5

This is the fifth blog (a continuation of Out And About #4) in a series that describes some of the dreams, intuitive messages, and higher-level experiences that I have had in recent years.

In 2021 Michael Perfetto and I began our fourth year of collaborating through medical qigong. As we continue in the COVID pandemic, I have noticed a change in my dreams. I continue to have what I call message dreams. However, I do not seem to remember as many of the long dreams (like watching a movie). What I sense about this is I am doing quite a bit of out-of-body work during sleep. However, at this point, it is not important for me to know specific details about it...that everything will unfold in its own way and time.

Following is a small selection of dreams and experiences that I have had so far in 2021. Most of the entries consist of images, energetic impressions, and short messages. They are presented here in how I wrote each one as a short summary.

1/10 vision: While hiking, a vision came to me of an American History book from the future. It shows that we (Humanity) are at a crossroads.

1/15 medical qigong: The word "Emissary" came to me. Then, there were visions of a Smith Island cake (many layers), a tunnel or wormhole to a new planet, and new Light Beings assigned to help me. (Note: I was curious about the word "assigned" and did an energy reading on it. There was a confirmation of that word.)

1/20 vision: Saw an image of Ruth Bader Ginsburg. She was happy about the Biden inauguration and she said to me, "Oh, you are the Pleiadian".

1/29 medical qigong: There was a small flash of white light and within it was the face of a Star Being (Arcturian, I sensed). It was right in front of my face for several moments and then it disappeared.

2/5 medical qigong: A vision of simultaneous levels of being and energy work. For Michael, when he worked on my heart he saw an image of a Being who took off his hat and bowed.

2/7 dream: I used current IT technology to process information about off-planet life; however, it was too massive and complex. Then, I saw it as holographic light. Its simplicity and elegance were breathtaking.

2/12 medical qigong: A vision of an Arcturian starship. I felt love and joy coming to me from the crew as well as higher energies.

2/14 message: During a walk at Brookside Gardens, the word "Emissary" came to me from the trees.

2/22 dream: From a deep sleep, I sat up and made strange vocal sounds. Then, I went back to sleep.

2/26 medical qigong: I had visions of advanced technology and several Star Beings. Michael saw a Pleiadian who was helping with the energy work. He also had a vision of what appeared to be World War I army men jumping over a trench. When we talked about this vision, it seemed that it could be about taking a leap into a new state of being.

3/9 vision: During a dental appointment I saw myself with a Pleiadian Council. (Had an inner knowing of what it was.)

3/13 dream: I was with one of my teams (from a past life where we came to an ancient civilization in the Gobi). I saw diagrams with lines and letters (this might have to do with genetics). The team wore what appeared to be brightly-colored Chinese robes with dragon designs.

3/19 medical qigong: Unexpectedly, I found myself on Mars. (There was no traveling. Rather, I was suddenly there.) I had an understanding that intelligent life is on Mars; however, it is in a higher frequency. Then, I was walking in a very long white tunnel. or corridor. I wondered if it was constructed with marble.

3/22 dream: Saw our family boat (which we took on summer vacations to the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri). The shape of the boat changed into a small anti-gravity craft.

3/26 medical qigong: Words came to me, "You know who you are".

3/26 dream: Saw written patterns of music (in the air). Then, there was an understanding that starting from anywhere (within the Big Picture) is possible and then narrow the focus as needed.

4/2 medical qigong: There was a sense of being in the presence of something extremely ancient. Then, I was inside a golden pyramid. A phrase came to Michael, "Kazinan is home". (This was after he mentally asked the question, "What does Roger need to know right now?")

4/9 medical qigong: I saw myself with a Council and heard the words, "increasing sensitivity". When Michael worked on my heart he saw blue water energy and whales.

4/14 qigong: Making connections with my Guides and others, there was an immediate sense of joy...that they were happy that I had finished the four Out And About blogs (2017-2020 experiences). It even felt that there was cheering! This was completely unexpected. I also felt happy...that this material can be of help to others.

4/16 dream: A long multi-scene dream. At one point I was walking with a child. I was taking him somewhere and we met a group of people. I did energy work for them and they found it helpful.

This is the fourth blog (a continuation of Out And About #3) in a series that describes some of the dreams, intuitive messages, and higher-level experiences that I have had in recent years.

In 2020 Michael Perfetto and I began our third year of collaborating through medical qigong. However, COVID-19 would soon change many things in our collective lives. As a result, Michael's office was closed for three months. One thing that I quickly discovered was the pandemic, and being at home in quarantine, did not put a damper on my inner work. In fact, it felt that the experiences were actually ramping up.

Following is a small selection of dreams and experiences that I had in 2020. Most of the entries consist of images, energetic impressions, and short messages. They are presented here in how I wrote each one as a short summary.

1/12 dream: Saw a higher plane version of Grandfather Harry's house and woodworking shop. (Robert Monroe, in his book Ultimate Journey, describes this level as Focus 27.) I felt deep emotions being in his shop. Looking around, I needed to find a long power cord to make a connection between the shop and the house.

2/1 dream: Saw a music performance with a large ensemble. The piece being performed had been written by another part of "me" in a different place...not on this planet. (There was an understanding that this actually happened.)

2/4 dream: "Postcards" coming to me from the Stars.

3/3 vision: There was a Spiritual Being with powerful energies. I said to him, "I am as powerful as you are". I felt this energetically...that we (all of us) are Source Energy Beings.

3/24 dream: Working with others in a building. I went outside and everything had changed. There was no longer one building. Instead, there were a vast number of new buildings being constructed.

3/26 dream: I was in a large building that had a "business" vibe. I came to a space (in the building) that was different. There was music and a feeling of being out of time. I conducted a music ensemble with tai chi-like movements. I felt close to the people there.

3/31 dream: I traveled to a school and was with a group. A teacher came to each of us, in turn. He (or she) held a white rectangular object to my forehead and asked a question. My first answer was correct. However, there was a problem with my second answer and we talked about it. It felt to me that it was a trick question. Reflecting more on the question, it suddenly made sense when I shifted my perspective.

4/5 message: Earth to Humanity: "I am giving you a timeout to think about what you are doing to me and each other." Humanity: "Have to buy more toilet paper". Earth: "That is not what I told you to think about".

4/6 vision: Saw a glimpse of a Pleiadian healing technique. It is similar to medical qigong, except it has 260 "flavors" of Qi.

4/19 vision: Numerous plants with writing over them. The messages expressed love and encouragement for Humanity.

5/13 vision/dream: There was a vision of a starcraft overhead. Then, later in a dream, I was on the craft with 90 others.

5/16 vision: The virus will be worse after reopening. The Star Nations may step in with help (direct or indirect).

5/19 vision: I was inside the Arcturian structure (see dreams 4/5, 4/22, 4/23 in Out And About #3) for sound & energy work.

5/21 message: "Stay the course and trust the Universe".

6/3 dream: With a group at a university. Everyone had long hair. I was there for an appointment. There was another "me".

6/6 dream: An ancient Egyptian site was uncovered. It is older than conventional dating.

6/11 message: "Humanity is like students catching up on back schoolwork."

6/14 vision: At our farmhouse in WV. When we arrived I felt a quality of energy that was new to me...however, I had an intuitive sense of what it was. Later, I was on the porch, looked up, and saw a large starcraft (triangle shape) partially materialize. I felt a deep joy for their visit and I mentally sent thanks & gratitude to the crew. In return, I felt thanks & gratitude coming from them. (This actually happened.)

6/24 medical qigong: Saw a golden pyramid and what appeared to be threads that straightened into a very high frequency range.

7/14 vision: This happened when we were at the Outer Banks (NC). As I stood on the beach house deck at night, I looked at the sky and relaxed my eyes. I began to see greenish patterns that looked like moss. From within it, I began to see movement and what appeared to be many wreathing snakes. This vision expanded until the sky was filled with snakes...or sky serpents. There was a sense of incredible power. For a brief moment I felt a touch of fear; however, I quickly centered myself and the fear was gone. As I looked at the ocean and the sky serpents there was a realization that I was experiencing the Feathered Serpent (as an energetic vision).

7/16 vision: Still at the beach. There was a clear night and we saw Jupiter leading Saturn across the sky. I also saw Arcturus. As I focused on that star I felt incredible energies coming from it.

8/2 dream: I was playing a saxophone. There was a direct connection between my mind and the music coming out of the horn. There was an older man. He adjusted the horn's pads and it was even more amazing.

8/12 medical qigong: While doing energy work on me, Michael looked down and saw a THIRD hand. Amazed, he turned and saw a Pleiadian healer next to him who was helping.

9/2 medical qigong: Visions of a vast community. Words came to me, "I have lived it and am now living it". Then, I saw landscapes on Mars.

9/4 dream: On another planet, in a city with many people. Saw different kinds of Beings.

9/25 medical qigong: Visions of several pyramids...Egypt, Mars, Arcturius.

10/14 vision: A cloud pattern that looked like a Phoenix.

10/18 vision: Saw two images. First, a group of people fighting in a mud pit. Second, the same group but now standing together, looking at the stars, and there were words, "What if...?".

11/15 vision: A massive pyramid (sensed that it is six times larger than the Great Pyramid). It is not on this planet.

12/26 vision: An image of a multi-dimensional Tzolkin diagram.

PS, As I reflect on these entries, several of them stand out as being on-point for this time in the pandemic:

4/5 message: Earth to Humanity: "I am giving you a timeout to think about what you are doing to me and each other." Humanity: "Have to buy more toilet paper". Earth: "That is not what I told you to think about".

For me, they speak to remembering how Humanity has a relationship with the Earth and all of her lifeforms. When we seek to separate ourselves from them -- as well as from each other -- we do so at our peril. Additionally, we are part of a bigger picture...a vast community of life throughout the cosmos. From this perspective, I have come to think of the pandemic as a call for humanity to remember these relationships and create new and better ways to live.

Out And About #3

This is the third blog (a continuation of Out And About #2) in a series that describes some of the dreams, intuitive messages, and higher-level experiences that I have had in recent years.

In 2019 Michael Perfetto and I began our second year of collaborating through medical qigong. The experiences that I am sharing in these blogs are a reminder that we are much more than our physical body. However, I need to say that my primary reason for having medical qigong is to maintain and enhance my physical health. It is clear to me that being grounded in the physical, and taking care of ourselves, is important for connecting with and experiencing higher aspects of ourselves (think of a tall tree with deep roots).

Following is a small selection of dreams and experiences that I had in 2019. Most of the entries consist of images, energetic impressions, and short messages. They are presented here in how I wrote each one as a short summary.

1/1 dream: Taking a class in different cities at the same time.

1/4 dream: Working with a team on an advanced IT project. People were leaving the building and I needed to find my car. Looking for it, I said to myself, "You do not need a car".

1/16 message: "Extraordinary things are happening so often that they now seem usual."

1/23 message: "This is how it's done in the stars." (Referring to medical qigong.)

1/25 message: "Nature balances. When lower energies are expressed that serves as an invitation for higher ones to come in."

2/18 dream: With Diamond Light Beings.

2/24 dream: Saw a Native American woman. (Several dreams or visions of a Native American woman -- Tonantzin? -- came to me in February.)

3/6 vision: Scenes of ancient Crete and there was an understanding that I had a past life there and did energy healing.

3/13 dream: Looking at a screen that displayed complex charts. My human mind had no frame of reference for what I was seeing. However, on some level I was taking them in. It was hard to wake up from this dream. I could not remove myself from the charts. Then, after the dream, there was an understanding that at some point in this physical life I will understand them. There was a sense that they have to do with consciousness and energy frequencies.

3/27 dream: Was shown how Humans have primal urges to battle and win. Scene shifted. I was in space among the stars and a word came to me..."Origins".

4/4 vision: A portal, with moving circular complex patterns, appeared on our bedroom ceiling. (More have appeared since this vision.)

4/5 medical qigong: A vision came to Michael of a structure and three Star Beings standing in front of it. Then, I saw the structure as being very tall, slender, and it had an usual curve toward the top. There was an understanding that the Beings were Arcturians. (This vision has come to us a number of times.)

4/22 dream: Saw a hardware store (but understood that it was a place of healing and wisdom). Older people were working there. Younger people came to it and were helped. A reporter came in and I was asked to talk with him and tell him about this place.

4/23 dream: This was a continuation of the 4/22 dream. I woke up and realized that the hardware store that I saw in that dream was actually the Arcturian structure that Michael and I saw on 4/5. However, in the 4/22 dream the structure and the Beings appeared to be ordinary.

5/4 dream: In a cosmic ocean. Had a lifeline to a Big Picture (expanded understanding) to not become lost in the ocean.

5/9 dream: Music dream where I absorbed and understood the music energetically.

5/19 qigong: This happened while we are at a high-rise condo in Ocean City, Maryland. Doing qigong on the balcony, overlooking the ocean, there was no fear of heights and I felt completely grounded...at 20 floors up.

5/26 dream: Traveling in the stars. I can go anywhere, effortlessly, instantaneously. I heard the words, "This is our birthright".

6/13 message: "Visualize a bright star above the head of each person that you encounter."

6/23 dream: In a large building with many people. I was waiting for an energy treatment. A woman, appeared to be Chinese, came up to me and said, "Show me your eyes and I will tell you your future".

7/2 dream: A message from Robin Johnsen (family friend and acupuncturist who passed on in Feb 2017). She told me goodbye, that she was off to work on a new project in another star system, and we will see each other again. (Both Michael and I felt Robin's presence a number of times since her passing.)

7/5 dream: Our old family car -- a 1956 Olds 88 convertible -- was being upgraded to run on a new fuel. It also had new tires and a futuristic-looking device had been added to it. (Similar dreams about the car have come to me in recent years.)

7/9 qigong: Beams of light going out from me to many star systems. Then, in response, they came back to my physical form. Like SETI receiving thousands of transmissions.

7/28 dream: With a large group of younger people. Each had an individual project. Then, we were in a NYC subway station. I made sure that each person had their tickets.

8/20 dream: The world is changing. Some look ahead to the new while others are fearful and look to the past. It is my responsibility to share the visions that come to me.

8/23 dream: I was in space and saw bubble-like Beings of various sizes.

9/21 dream: Energy practices are like a rich harmonic voicing in music. Basic chord tones, below = Earth energies. Tensions (natural or altered 9, 11, 13), above = Stars / higher frequency energies.

9/22 dream: With a group and we went to several places to do energy work and ceremonies. First, there was an icey landscape. Then, it shifted to what appeared to be a Pacific island. Looking at the ocean. I heard these words, "Two kingdoms united". Finally, I saw people in the group moving many objects (not sure what they were).

10/6 dream: Sound of running water and a feeling of movement in my body. Then, I heard the word, "Acceleration".

10/10 vision: A very tall and light blue Being. Feminine, flowing features, and powerful energies. There was a sense that this might be another Spirit Guide.

10/23 medical qigong: Saw a gold disk. Very ancient...perhaps in China or the Gobi.

11/20 medical qigong: Saw an obelisk in the distance. (Not on this planet.)

12/5 vision: A fleet of Orbs (Energy Beings).

12/8 vision: A golden pyramid. Saw other worlds, great beauty, and experienced high frequencies.

12/29 dream: With a team. We went to an airport and got on a starcraft.

PS, As I reflect on these entries, two of them especially stand out:

3/27 dream: Was shown how Humans have primal urges to battle and win. Scene shifted. I was in space among the stars and a word came to me..."Origins".

5/26 dream: Traveling in the stars. I can go anywhere, effortlessly, instantaneously. I heard the words, "This is our birthright".

For me, they speak to remembering who and what we are (as Spiritual Beings currently having a Human life in the Earth "school"). For several weeks, a short message has been coming to me: "Wormhole or rabbit hole". I will leave it to everyone to discern their own meaning for it. However, for me, remembering who we are (with our origins and birthright) is a key part of making that choice in our lives.

Out And About #2

This is the second blog (a continuation of Out And About #1) in a series that describes some of the dreams, intuitive messages, and higher-level experiences that I have had in recent years.

In 2018, after having acupuncture for one year with Michael Perfetto, I switched to medical qigong when he began to offer it. Medical qigong is a direct application of energies without the use of acupuncture needles or herbs. We quickly discovered, as we worked with higher and more refined energies, that intuitive messages, visions, and other kinds of profound experiences would come to us in our sessions. There was also a distinct sense of being helped by my Spirit Guides and other Beings.

Following is a small selection of dreams and experiences that I had in 2018. Most of the entries consist of images, energetic impressions, and short messages. They are presented here in how I wrote each one as a short summary.

1/9 dream: Saw healing treatments (given by Star Beings) and off-planet landscapes.

1/16 dream: Three time travelers. Time is not linear. I saw it as a bundle of threads.

1/21 dream: Saw a starcraft fleet. With this image there was a message about us (Humanity) being in a vast community and receiving love and help.

1/22 dream: Saw technologies that transform toxic sites, old factories, etc. into pristine land.

2/1 dream: In a library and saw information about early 20th Century brass bands. The photos in a book moved as if I was watching a film. One band had black musicians (appeared to be a World War I Army band) and I also saw dance bands that had women musicians.

2/5 dream: Traveled to a university and met people who were studying a water-based intelligent species. Not on this planet.

2/12 dream: With a Mantis Star Being.

3/3 dream: People running computer reports. There were concerns about how values of 1 were not changing. I understood that, simply, the numeric fields needed to be expanded to 1.000 to have greater precision. Along with this there was a message about how people who are looking for big changes sometimes do not see the smaller ones (that can grow into bigger changes).

4/5 dream: Heard the words, "Birth of stars". Then, there was a vision of many stars appearing in the morning sky. Each star had planets. Then, a message, "This is how Humanity awakens".

4/22 dream: Flying in a small anti-gravity craft. I also saw several advanced technology devices. Time appeared to be flexible.

5/9 dream: In 1940 London, talking with a man. He was distraught with the war. He asked me what would happen and I told him. He asked, "How could you know that?" and I replied, "I saw it in a dream".

5/23 dream: I was shown old and new Spiritual practices. The new ones are simple and direct.

5/29 dream: A concert of Star Nations music...an opera. It was a large production and it took place on a starcraft. The event was a celebration of unity.

6/1 dream: I was in a ceremony (or received energy work) with Star Beings. Then, I was driving in a new car in unfamiliar places...going down roads on a steep mountain. (Trying out the "new wheels")

6/7 dream: I was playing saxophone in an ensemble. I knew some of the musicians. My playing was OUT...far beyond what I can actually do. Then, I realized that this is an expression of what I do each day with my energy work.

6/26 message: "People with different world views are classmates in the Earth school, not an enemy."

7/26 dream: In a large house with many visitors. People introduced themselves to me as though they knew me. There was a sense of friendship, cooperation, and being a part of a big picture project.

8/17 dream: Saw trees on other planets. Earth trees are connected with them and they communicate.

8/24 dream: On a starcraft. I saw pages of what appeared to be equations. There was an interface between me and the craft. There was also a reference to Mars.

9/19 vision: Inside a pyramid structure and it was familiar to me. There was an understanding that it is in the Electra star system (Pleiades).

9/28 dream: I was with a group in a multi-story parking garage. Several of us discovered deep holes in the concrete and we looked for traffic cones to place around the holes.

Note: In October there were a series of dreams about seeing or being on several kinds of starcrafts.

11/7 vision: I was in an old house and going through accumulated things. Some will be taken to a new house and some will be left behind.

11/14 dream: A friend was looking into post-grad studies. I was interested; however, the school was out-of-state and I have much to do here. Awakening, a message came to me, "You are already in a program of interstellar studies".

12/11 dream: With friends and we were exploring ancient mounds. A modern city had grown around the mounds and the people did not know about them.

12/28 dream: I was with a group of children who had advanced abilities. We were followed by some kind of agents. The children spoke with them, won them over, and the agents stopped following us.

PS, As I read these entries again, it is easy for me to see how some of them are symbolic or message dreams and some are actual experiences. I was also curious about whether I would see a progression in them. Unless I am missing something that others notice, I do not see a progression. It's like Michael and I hit the ground running in our work together.

That said, this needs to be seen from how I have been doing inner work for a long time. I started doing qigong practices in 1995 and, before that, I did yoga and several styles of meditation for 25 years. I have also felt connections with a number of ancient civilizations and with the Stars for many years. Thus, these things were already a part of me. However, when I began to work with Michael in 2017 there was a sense that all of the pieces were coming together.

In sharing these thoughts, I would be amiss if I did not express my gratitude to Robin Johnsen for her role in this. Robin was a family friend and an acupuncturist. It was Robin who suggested that I use a pendulum for energy readings. Robin was DEEP in Spirit. When I shared dreams or Spiritual experiences with her, she did not bat an eye...no matter how far out they were. She was right there with all of it.

Sadly, there was a point when cancer returned to her and even with the best Western and Eastern medical care it became clear that she would soon be on the next phase of her journey. When she become too weak to continue giving acupuncture, she thought about her clients and recommended a particular acupuncturist for each one.

For me, she suggested Michael Perfetto. I did not know him. However, when we talked on the phone, and I told him that Robin sent me, it took only a few moments to feel a connection. As it turned out, Michael is also a composer and we went the the same music school (Berklee College of Music in Boston). How cool is that? And, as with Robin, when I share my dreams and experiences with him, he does not bat an eye...no matter how far out they are. He is right there with all of it.

Out And About #1

This is the first blog in a series that describes some of the dreams, intuitive messages, and higher-level experiences that I have had in recent years.

In 2017 I began to have acupuncture with Michael Perfetto. In addition to classical acupuncture, we also worked with Chinese herb formulas and, importantly, Michael introduced me to some of the techniques that were developed by Robert Monroe (such as Hemi-Sync sound technology) to assist one in having experiences beyond the physical body.

Michael told me about Robert Monroe after I shared several dreams with him in which I saw myself flying or traveling in various ways. In one such dream I was flying (without a plane) over the Andes Mountains. He suggested that I get Monroe's book Ultimate Journey. As I read the book, I quickly found a passage where it said flying dreams can actually be out-of-body experiences.

After working together for several months, Michael suggested that I get a guided meditation CD called Meeting Your Guides, which uses Hemi-Sync, from the Monroe Institute. The meditation was an easy experience for me. After going into a relaxed state, I found myself with my Spirit Guide. There was an immediate understanding that I had felt her presence at times for many years. Now, in seeing her I felt an ancient connection and knew her to be a deep well of wisdom, with powerful healing abilities and a wonderful sense of humor. I soon discovered that she is part of a team of Guides who are helping me. I should also mention that she is a Star Being (that is, from another star system).

With this backstory out of the way, following is a small selection of dreams and experiences that I had in 2017 (I began to write them on my calendar in July). Most of the entries consist of images, energetic impressions, and short messages. It felt to me that it was best to present them without additional comments.

7/10 Hemi-Sync: A message came to me in which I was called Star Traveler.

8/2 Hemi-Sync: I saw myself at the ancient site of Teotihuacan in Mexico. I was taking part in a gathering that was in a cave under the Temple of the Feathered Serpent. I saw several of my teachers and there were others whom I did not recognize. The group included a number of Star Beings with different features. Then, there was a journey into the stars.

8/15 Hemi-Sync: I saw myself in a library and knew that it represented my Higher Self. The library contained records of my experiences and knowledge from the multitude of incarnations in my life continuum...on Earth and elsewhere.

8/28 Hemi-Sync: Vision of the Tzolk'in. The 260 combinations of numbers and day signs occur simultaneously, as energies and intelligences, in the fabric of spacetime. We can calibrate ourselves to a daily cycle. (I follow the traditional Tzolk'in cycle used by the K'iche Maya.)

Note: I stopped using Hemi-Sync at the end of August. I found that I no longer needed the technology to help me with these experiences.

9/3 dream: I saw myself as having completed this life's human lessons and I now had a new job. (Several dreams in September were about having a new job and seeing myself with a group or team.) There was also a message: "Love is the foundation, the connector of worlds and levels of frequency".

9/5 qigong: Original Qi connection with whales and dolphins.

10/17 dream: I was shown a book of sound maps. Then, I was in a large room that had hanging maps.

10/22 dream: On a large starcraft. The craft seemed familiar to me. Rather than focusing on details about it, I was more interested in the crew. It had a mix of different star races and there was a feeling of deep respect, love, and cooperation among them.

12/10 dream: Moved into a new house (body/energy changes).

PS, I see these experiences as going to the heart of who we think we are. That is, of how we are actually much more than our physical body. If this is true, it brings into focus the many deeply-embedded things in society that serve to define, as well as to divide, us such as race, national & political identity, social status, etc. Currently, many of these things are a part of our self-identity.

By coming to a realization that these are temporary, external things and we are MORE than that, it is possible that our self-identity can shift to a higher identity...one that all of us have in common. This one thing could be a game changer for humanity and the world.

Taking It To A Higher Octave

Those who follow my music may have noticed that I have not written any new pieces in several years. The main reason is that I am focusing on daily energy practices. This includes Chinese & Tibetan qigong, the tzolk'in (as used by the K'iche Maya), and other kinds of energy work. In doing these practices I discovered that I can experience many of the creative things that I love about music in new ways.

While I have practiced qigong (related to tai chi in Traditional Chinese Medicine) since 1995, a new world opened for me in 2017 when I began to have acupuncture with Michael Perfetto. In addition to classical acupuncture and Chinese herb formulas, Michael introduced me to techniques that were developed by Robert Monroe to assist one in having experiences beyond the physical body.

In one of my early acupuncture sessions with Michael, he showed me how to experience Original Qi and its slow-moving cycle in the body. As I felt this subtle energy, I began to hear a low frequency in my mind. It was like hearing a low Eb below the bass clef staff (Eb1) played on tuba. This was a revelation. From there, I discovered that in doing my practices I could focus on hearing a particular frequency in my mind and my energy field would immediately respond to be at a corresponding level. It is similar to changing radio stations.

Along with these energy experiences, I began to have and remember extremely vivid dreams. Many of them were about flying or traveling in various ways. I also often saw myself with a group or team. I know that this will sound far out to some; however, in many of these dreams there was an understanding that we were beyond this planet. When I shared these dreams with Michael and other friends, who also do energy practices, I learned that some of them were having similar experiences.

After one year of acupuncture, I switched to medical qigong when Michael began to offer it. Medical qigong is a direct application of energies without the use of acupuncture needles or herbs. We quickly discovered, as we worked with higher and more refined energies, that intuitive messages, visions, and other kinds of profound experiences would come to us in our sessions. There was also a distinct sense of being helped by my Spirit Guides and other Beings.

In having these experiences, it become clear to me that we (Humanity) are part of a vast community of life....on this planet and through the cosmos. When I experience this, there are almost overwhelming sensations of Love and Intelligence.

As all of this continued to unfold, I found that I could experience these deeper connections anytime I want as well as from wherever I happen to be. (This is especially useful when I'm waiting in line at a store.) It also became clear to me how my background in music serves as a foundation for these experiences. I've come to think of it as taking music to a higher octave.

Several years ago, as I took out the trash one night, these words came into my mind, "You can go to the Spiritual Realms that John Coltrane was reaching for in his music". Of course, I was completely astonished and thought to myself, "What?". However, this is actually happening through medical qigong, daily energy practices, off-planet dreams, etc. Each day brings new adventures and insights.

Now, instead of tapping into higher inspiration and then writing music to express it, I have direct energetic experiences and share them with others...without performances or recordings. This has given me a new perspective on being a composer.
