#1. People listening to my music online. Having recordings & videos of my originals in a custom-designed presentation on my website, the music can develop a growing audience in the US and other countries as the site's visibility continues to expand.
My site: Given the broad range of styles that are expressed in my writing, it is my hope that everyone coming to my website and listening to this music will find something that they like. The ten originals on the Listen To My Music page are a good place to start. Then, one can explore other pages to dig deeper into the music.
#2. Live performances of my music. Since I do not have a performing band, I need to have other musicians and ensembles discover and perform my music.
My site: Thirty six originals are presented on my site. In addition to the pieces that are fixtures of the site, the Bonus Track page features one of my originals each week. The page has a recording of the piece, a lead sheet or score, and comments about particular aspects of the music. In addition, the Previous Featured Music page has links to all of the originals from past weeks on Bonus Track. Musicians can use these pages to explore more of my work, study lead sheets & scores, and discover pieces that are of interest to them.
#3. Recordings and videos of my music. The music presented on my site is a small sample of my work. A large number of my originals have not been recorded.
My site: As more ensembles perform my music, it is my hope that additional recordings will be made and added to my site.
#4. Music publishing and licensing. Until this year, all of my originals have been self-published. However, I recently received an offer from ArtiflexMusic (music publisher in the Netherlands) to publish Salt Marsh Rag. I decided to accept their offer to see what happens. If Salt Marsh Rag does well, more of my ensemble pieces might be added to the agreement. In a similar way, I am exploring music licensing with PARMA Licensing. Twenty six of my originals are in PARMA's library of pre-cleared music. This music is available for TV, film, theater, etc. In addition to PARMA, a profile has been created at ProductionHUB to help generate interest in using my music for TV & film.
My site: Pages for ArtiflexMusic and PARMA Licensing have been created. They have more information about these new directions for my music. Links to these pages are on the Links, Interviews, Etc page.
Finally, my website is intended to be interactive. Comments and questions about my music are welcomed. Write to me from the Contact page and I will reply. Musicians interested in performing my originals can also write to me from that page.
